ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A change in the events sheet at the 2012 Carifta Swimming Championship at the Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatic Centre in Nassau, Bahamas saw instead Elinah, the younger of the Phillip sisters, getting into the pool on the opening day April 12, 2012, however, she fell short of advancing in the 50 metre Backstroke event.
