Crime free VI for New Year/Old Year; Dec 31, 2017 to Jan 1, 2018
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Maybe it was Hurricanes Irma and Maria that have changed forever the way of life of most residents of the Virgin Islands or maybe it was a threat from the United Kingdom appointed governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert aka ‘Gus’ that, if residents do not behave he will return the curfew- an idea scoffed at by some in the intellectual, progressive and legal classes.

BUTU MOUNTAIN, Tortola, VI- Information just reaching our newsroom from our senior sources in the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is that the man shot this morning at Butu Mountain, Tortola, is escaped prisoner Santo Yamarco Hernandez.
UPDATE: 3 shot, 2 dead in execution style murder
WEST END, Tortola, VI- It was just before 10:00 PM last night Wednesday November 22, 2017 when three persons were heading back to Road Town from West End on Tortola in a white Suzuki Jeep when the three persons, an adult male and a female, along with an 11 year old girl, came under fire.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The incidents of fatal shootings in the territory as of recent times are linked to gang rivalry, which Commissioner of Police, Michael Matthews, attributes to a ‘US’ type gang culture now present in the [British] Virgin Islands. He added that the rivalries are mainly linked to drugs and guns.
UPDATE: Arrest made in relation to latest murder in East End
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- At least one person has been arrested in relation to the murder of David Springette aka ‘Mooney’.
Springette was shot and killed in Fat Hogs Bay on June 21, 2017, bringing the number of homicide in the Virgin Islands to a record 7 in 6 months.
