Using Racism, Labour & Immigration to shatter the Golden Rule

Alred C. Frett

Disappointing our Forefathers:

These rough times are getting rougher and more rather than less we find ourselves complaining about the problems we experience and the pains we face… We allow ourselves no time for concern about others as we totally reject the idea that our own actions or inaction may be the root cause of our problems – Instead, we have become consumed by our own perceived social status and self-importance

When 9/11 still affects us locally & internationally

Alred C. Frett

9/11 & Relics from 15-Years ago:

America commemorates 15-years since 9/11 and to those who never cared it seems such a long time while for those who shared the Loss and Agony it seems like Yesterday… 9/11 is a Tragedy that happened so quickly but lingers so long that it brought out the best and worst in us and continues to result in the loss of so many innocent Lives that we should always remember not to forget.

A choice between 21st Century slavery & real freedom

By Alred C. Frett

Using ‘I told you so’ prevents re-invention of the Wheel:

It is no secret that we were born intellectually naked but in a misguided World no one likes hearing ‘I told you so’… Nonetheless, in the real World the greatest level of Intelligence is the ability to learn from others and our present Cloak of Knowledge is woven from many fabrics of “I told you so’s” – It is unwise to reinvent the wheel by being too proud or ashamed to learn from anyone.

The price of facing truth in the past, present & future

When the Gift of Youth becomes the Product of Past Experiences:

Being young is wonderful – It’s a Promise of Forever where we can get everything, do everything, be everything and live everlasting but this is only as good as it gets for as long as it lasts – Time passes and most things change… We become caricatures of our Grandparents only to find we didn’t get everything, we didn’t do everything, we weren’t all we could be and we will not last forever.

From Selma to Ferguson to the BVI

By Alred C. Frett

A recent Department of Justice Report resulting from the fatal shooting of Ferguson’s unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown, shows his complicity in the incident but also details a pattern of racial discrimination and stereotyping of Blacks among Police, Prison and Court System… These included Police using excessive force against Blacks and undue harassing of Black Drivers.

Too much corruption, depression & death

By Alred C. Frett

As we journey through the last month of 2013 we need Truth for the Youth more than ever but I expect no overnight miracle - Leaders may chose to be more upset with me rather than change their ways in the Best Interests of the People… Nonetheless, it is no joke when I say Oppression causes Depression which increases Diabetes, Hypertension and various Cancers and Diseases.

The Act of Oppression & Consequence of Depression = Slavery

Heroes & She-roes replaced by Empty Promises: Thanks – It has been a while and some have flattered me by saying the last article was so good that it drained me – Not really and with so much wrong happening to our youth, it’s impossible not to see their suffering and feel their pain - With the death of so many friends these past weeks have been very emotional but I’m still on ZROD & ZVCR, Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays.

After 50-years, Are we moving forward or marching backward??

By Alred C. Frett

A Month of Black History: August should be considered as the real Black History Month from the Emancipation of Slavery 180-years ago to the Civil Rights March on Washington 50-years ago… Indeed until the late 1960’s/1970’s Social Laws designated Slave Descendants as less than Human with little or no acknowledged rights and for them to strive for fairness and justice meant certain prison or death.

Leaving Black History Month & Marching to Freedom

By Alred C. Frett

Maintaining a Link with Black History Month:

As we leave this Black History Month I have tried to explain the realistic condition of things in the BVI with the hope that some would recognize Truth and realize the importance of change for the better… Any self-governing emancipated People should know there are no real winners when Politicians and Civil Servants become Oppressors and Tyrants just because they are in power.
