BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- A young female allegedly suffered head injuries after she was hit by a vehicle in Baughers Bay last evening, December 6, 2013.

According to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online, the young woman was attempting to cross the road in the vicinity of Perlar's Bar sometime around 7 P.M. when the accident occurred.

Virgin Islands News Online was told that the woman was conscious but appeared to have suffered head injuries.

She was subsequently taken to Peebles Hospital by ambulance. According to hospital sources, her injuries were not listed as serious.

No police was on the scene by the time the injured woman was taken to hospital and efforts to reach Police Information Officer, Diane Drayton today, December 7, 2013 were not successful.

    No Police at the scene and cannot still be reached for comment? Where in the hell were all the Police, at the Policeman's Ball? I hope the woman comes out of this okay and who was the driver? More info needed.

      no police was not there i was on the scene went the young lady get run down by a taxi driver i call the police station and a police answer me i tell her that a young lady get run down and she say to me that someone call and the police on it way the ambulance come and no police well i say she is a dog the taxi man take so long and them he come back on the scene i guess she was a dog if you all are doing that to a b.v.i lander who is the down islander people so tell me what is wrong went you big you big

    that area have plenty bars and it is too dark. So put more light please and also a cross walk that the pedestrians need to learn to use.
