BEEF ISLAND, VI- Julius Farley showed no signs of fatigue from the KPMG Tortola Torture a week ago when he ran to victory in the Hauteville 5K Series tour stop on Beef Island on April 21, 2018.

Farley, who placed third and was the first Virgin Islands resident to complete the 33.4 Miles KPMG Tortola Torture, had to wrestle victory from Reuben Stoby who took second.

The two rubbed shoulders for nearly 3 miles until Farley opened up a small lead with about 800m to the finish and held on for the win in a Personal Best 18 minutes, 18 Seconds.

Stoby, who is making a return to form following injury last year, finished in 18 minutes, 25 seconds.

Paul Mellor, who had teamed up with Stoby for the KPMG Tortola Torture, was third in 18:56.

Meanwhile, the battle for the top spot in the ladies division was between Katrina Lindsay and Kim Struiken; however, Lindsay came out with the win in a time of 21:38.

Kay Reddy was third.

Lindsay’s win, her third of the series, also assures her the series title.

The next 5K is dubbed the Paraquita Beast and will be held on May 12, 2018.
