ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Christians and other supporters in the Virgin Islands were not disappointed when the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) staged its Elections 2019 Gospel Fest lest evening Sunday, February 17, 2019, to a packed crowd in Road Town, Tortola.

Under cool weather, those in attendance jammed out to the melodic voices of praise from artists such as Timothy Baird, Verne Profitt and Omar Benjamin in the fenced parking lot across from Digicel.

Victory in Progress – VIP

Keynote performer, Evangelist Bridget Blucher in delivering an electrifying performance also prophesied that the VIP will be declared the winners of the 2019 Elections which will see VIP Chairman, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) becoming Premier of the Virgin Islands.

“Everywhere I look is see VIP... I came in Tortola tonight as the Minister of the gospel as an authorised mouthpiece of Jesus Christ, because I know in whom I believe, and I am persuaded that he orders my step as you lift your voice tonight, this is Voice in Praise and it is Victory in Progress,” Evangelist Blucher told the crowds gathered to loud applause while reiterating that VIP is seeing victory is progress.

Joining her on stage later was man of the cloth and ZBVI ‘Honestly Speaking' radio host Claude O. Skelton-Cline, who delivered a short sermon those gathered.

Spirit of Freedom

According to Mr Skelton-Cline, “There is a spirit of freedom that is blowing across these British Virgin Islands, God uses unlikely candidates,” he says as he encouraged the people to escape the cusps of the current situation in the territory and fight for a better VI.

“The enemies will come and the darts will be thrown, they will castigate you name [and] they will assassinate your character,” however, he says God has a way of turning what was meant for evil into good.

He says that after being marginalised and pushed to the side, he assured the people that a change is about to come to the VI.

They are putting God first. That is what we should have done too. We are a Christian society and we need God now more than ever.

Do you think God don't see in the hearts of men? Anyone you hear calling god's name and doing wrong behind closed doors must know light will catch up to day. No one knows what is going to be the outcome of this election because there is one thing god has granted man, "The Power of choice". We can choose people over party to represent us this time. We know both the VIP & NDP has fail to keep accountability. We also know we have options. This election is not about who is popular or who we like. It’s about people sitting down and choosing the best persons to lead this country locally and abroad. Its about personal responsibility, its about properly managing the finances of our country, putting an end to miss management and wasteful spending. It’s about putting country above self. While some people are using smoke screens to drunken others, we must become sober after drinking all the crap these parties are feeding us and choose person fit to lead this country. May you choose wisely on election day. Be aware of false prophets who has one thing in mind, that is their personal profit.

Without God, there is Nothing! Some you all feel that because one is into Politics, they should not have a relationship with God. If they do, they should keep it private. If one is ashamed of their Faith, how can they believe in themselves, much less others? Let the Blessings of God Flow where there were gatherings of Believers! It's not abusing the Word of God to ask for his Mercury and Intervention Publicly. Judge Not, least Ye Be Judge! Praying for a Brighter and Better BVI.

There should be no speculation about victory: simply give NDP1 or NDP2 a Kool off period of 4 years: balance the government books put all speculation of money racket to rest because simply based on the street talk so much tax money and loan funds not adequately accounted for: loans were secured for certain projects in our country long before those 2017 hurricanes however the projects were never completed yet additional funds have been borrowed 2018-2019 for the very same project(where the money before 2017 went): I am not or ever been a political affiliate just concerned(oh yes!! my people before me salved for this country and to simply sit and watch the happenings is wrong) this territory will never be the same(under PU; PVIM, VIP or collision administration) we some serious loan to repay: the British Virgin Islands have the mandate to repay all of the loans but it is still very controversial how much projects will given to local establishments...over-stand this God Bless whomever wins!!!!
