Earthquake detected off VI coast

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Virgin Islands' (VI) Department of Disaster Management (DDM), has reported the detection of an earthquake off of the coast of Tortola.

The 3.4 magnitude earthquake occurred today, Monday, June 25, 2018 at 07:03 AM, some 19.8 miles North-Northwest, of the Capital City, Road Town.

The quake occurred at a depth of 48 miles. There have been no tsunami warnings or advisories issued, however, the Department has vowed to keep the public updated.
