ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - David Turnbull, who appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on July 27, 2012, to answer a charge of unlawful possession of Cannabis, which he pleaded not guilty to, had the charge dismissed by Magistrate Tamia Richards.

After being summoned, the Court understood that the young man is a convicted felon and is currently serving time at her Majesty’s Prison with five months remaining.

According to Crown Council Herbert Potter, Mr. Turnbull was allegedly found with 3.8 grams of Cannabis on January 7, 2012, in Huntums Ghut.

Mr. Potter offered no evidence to the court against the charge and asked for the matter to be dismissed.

Mr. Turnbull is currently in prison for drawing an unlicensed gun at another man while attending a party in Virgin Gorda, in April 2011.
