Drivers taken to hospital following collision @ Hodge's Creek

HODGE'S CREEK, Tortola, VI- The drivers of two vehicles were taken to hospital by ambulance following a collision in the vicinity of Hodge's Creek earlier today, June 17, 2016.

According to reports, the vehicles involved were a pickup truck and a small SUV.

The accident occurred sometime around 12:30pm.

This information was confirmed by Chief Fire Officer Zebalon A. McLean, who said a third person, a female passenger of the pickup, went to Peebles Hospital afterwards for a precautionary checkup.

Both vehicles received extensive damages, according to McLean.

    That's expected that area is a raceway I feel for the tourists walking that area.....

      The main issue with that road is drivers coming from the west tend to go on the go in the lane coming from east.The area needs some engineering as soon as possible.

    I wonder if they were going to catch a plane or taking a sick person to the hospital. Either way, they did not make it, so what is the sense in driving recklessly. If you slow down you may reach where you going. You all only making insurance rates go up for innocent drivers.

    people are always over the wrong side of the road because they are arrogant and selfish - even on narrow ridge road etc. Same reason they park so others cannot move on or stop in the road rather than pull off it to pick up and drop off people. It is very dangerous. We also have a lot of people who have no idea what they are doing because they didn't even take the mickey mouse test we have. Plus most cars have the driver's seat on the wrong side meaning these idiots don't even know where their vehicle starts and finishes. Then, when accidents do happen, those in the wrong do not get prosecuted. You reap what you sow
