SETTING POINT, Anegada, VI – Making a promise and not fulfilling it is one thing, however worse than that is making a promise to children or a child and not honouring it, certainly something one tries to avoid as much as possible.

Today December 10, 2014 there were smiles and merriment among the children of the Anegada Educational Centre when staff of Digicel turned up at their party bearing gifts, the gifts they were hearing of from the time Digicel launched its Christmas 2014 promotion.

“The children were very happy today, we gave them gifts of our newest back packs that were recently brought in with the Digicel brand and the excitement was even more when they felt the true Christmas spirit when we placed Santa Claus hats on their heads, it was so wonderful,” said Jasmine A. Perez, Marketing Public Relations Executive, Digicel (BVI) Limited.

She said that teaming up with Digicel to spread the Christmas cheer in Anegada was RiteWay Food Market which took juices to complement other goodies for the children’s party.

The Digicel team not only had their moment with the children as they also toured the community with cakes, cookies other goodies and of course surprises for residents there. “No one came up empty handed today, no one that’s for sure. That’s what Digicel is all about this Christmas season and beyond,” said Ms Perez.

She said that on November 27, 2014 they had also taken treats to the students of the Elmore Stoutt High School where they also had a healthy interaction with the teachers.

“Each week Digicel has been visiting people in the communities across the Territory and they are not coming up empty handed. The students at Elmore Stoutt High Schools enjoyed some mouthwatering belly-filling cakes and tarts to complement their Thanksgiving meal that day,” said Perez.

The community tours of Digicel will continue throughout the season.
