ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Digicel customers in the Virgin Islands (VI) and across the Caribbean region have been given the opportunity to win over $60,000 in cash and prizes this Christmas through the ‘Shake It & Win’ promotion.

The promotion was launched in the VI on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the mobile communication giant’s flagship store on Waterfront Drive, Tortola, where Digicel’s employees were a model of excitement for the customers participating in the challenge this year.

A very fit looking Santa was also in store for the launch.

Marketing Executive of Digicel BVI, Timothy Barker, said, “We’re on a journey to becoming a digital lifestyle partner for our customers; that means we want to be with them every step of the way - for the everyday moments, the special moments and the shared moments. One of those moments is Christmas. It’s all about family and friends, about reconnecting to the people we love and about sharing. And it’s a time for more; more fun, more excitement, more laughter, more everything.”

Cash prizes to be won

On the local front, Mr Barker said customers have a chance to win a grand prize of up to $5,000 and the regional prize of $60, which can only be won through their ‘Shake It my Digicel app’ and customers have to either download the app or activate a data bundle plan.

Postpaid customers can enter by paying their bill in full and on time.

The ‘Shake it app’ is available as of today November 22, 2019.

“We are launching today (Yesterday) but everything is going to go live tomorrow (Today) where you are going to be able to win each day and guarantee wins on a Saturday,” said Barker.

Barker encouraged customers to stay tuned for their Saturday treasure hunts, “We are bringing it different this time with our secret Santa, look out for your clues on Saturday mornings via social media and then search for the secret Santa so you can immediately win a prize, cash or prize, either or.”

Data giveaways

In addition to cash and prizes, Digicel is giving more with double data on all Big Data plans for the festive season and a free 30-day D’Music subscription. Also, prepaid customers get more when they purchase a Samsung J2 smartphone on sale for only $69, which includes a 7 day Big Data plan with 6GB of data.

Postpaid customers get more value with their first 3 months half price and a Samsung J2 smartphone when they join Digicel and activate any Unbeatable plan. Existing postpaid customers on eligible Unbeatable plans get the chance to Shake It and win in the MyDigicel app.

Meanwhile, Digicel BVI is yet to reveal plans for Black Friday 2019 but assured that every customer will be in for a treat.
