Road Town, Tortola, VI– Digicel today announced a new partnership with the BVI Cancer Society, to raise awareness and much-needed funds throughout the month of October. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month worldwide, and this year the BVI theme is “All Cancers Matter.”

Digicel customers can support the BVICS by purchasing any Digicel Smartphone at their local store on Tortola or Virgin Gorda, from as low as $89. Digicel will then donate $5 for each handset sold directly to the BVI Cancer Society. Digicel’s DL range of Android smartphones will keep you connected with the latest style and the most up to date features. There are touchscreen displays, quality cameras and give you access to apps and games on the latest operating systems.

Digicel CEO, Conor Looney, added “The Digicel family is extremely proud to again show our support for a cause that makes a substantial difference in people’s lives. We will Paint the Town Pink on October 30th and I would urge the BVI public to get on board. For a second year we will be holding a bake sale at our flagship store in Road Town, with cakes on sale from as low as $1, and customers will also be able to purchase pins and bumper stickers to show their support for this worthy cause.”

Event organizer and Head of the BVI Cancer Society, Gloria Fahie, commented, “As always, we are grateful for Digicel’s support and our message is that all cancers matter. We all know someone who is suffering or who has survived Cancer. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity for us all to show support financially or to donate some of our time.”

Shirts are also available for purchase from the BVI Cancer Society Head Office, in Road Town. For more information email bvicancersociety@gmail.com
