ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - If anyone has been feeling the Christmas vibe already it’s definitely the children of the Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre, who are currently fine tuning for their annual Christmas Programme on Sunday November 27, 2011.

Virgin Islands News Online dropped in at the centre where the students and teachers were merrily going through their carols and other performances in time for the big show this weekend. And even though their stage wouldn’t be the ‘Orbit Dome’, they surely promise an entertaining afternoon.

The Christmas programme is set for 3:30 p.m. at the Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre Playground.

Principal of the centre Vansittart Huggins told Virgin Isands News Online that the concert is open to the public and encouraged persons to show their support for the children and to see for themselves what the children were capable of doing.

She added that many times persons view the centre in a negative light and hopes that the children’s performance on Sunday would dispel certain misconceptions about it.

The Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre, which opened its doors in 1972, has since served as a school for students with a range of physical, emotional and learning disabilities.

At the centre, students receive individualized care and are involved in a range of activities such as sailability, vocational/skill programmes, physical education, speech therapy among others.
