Delta Expanding Service to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic

Delta is significantly expanding its service to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the carrier announced.

The expansion, which will launch during the “high-demand season,” will include new flights from Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis/St Paul and New York-JFK.

Delta will be operating the flights on Airbus A320 and A319 planes, the company said.

The Atlanta service will operate Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, beginning Jan. 11, 2015; Cincinnati flights will operate once-weekly on Saturdays, launching Feb. 14, 2015; Detroit service will operate weekly on Saturdays, beginning Feb. 14, 2015; Minneapolis service will operate weekly on Sundays beginning Feb. 15, 2015 and the new New York service from JFK will operate Saturdays, beginning June 6, 2015.
