ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Delta Petroleum (Caribbean) Limited recently responded to the call to donate to the Road Town Methodist Church’s weekly soup kitchen, again displaying good corporate responsibility.

The kind deed also came on Valentine’s weekend which made it extra special for persons who were paid a visit by staff of Delta who also volunteered to make the rounds delivering bowls of soup to mostly shut-ins on Tortola.

According to Regional Chief Accountant of Delta Petroleum (Caribbean) Limited, Andrew Vasconcellos, the company responded to an article in a local newspaper about the Methodist Church appealing for sponsors of its weekly soup kitchen.

“Delta responded with a donation last Saturday and staff also volunteered their time to take the meals to the needy and shut in. As it was Valentine’s weekend we also put together a small gift bag of goodies for the recipients,” Mr Vasconcellos said.

The Road Town Methodist Church reportedly feeds about 100 weekly.

Delta is good. They are the only gas company that reach out to help.. They next thing we need is a reduction in gas prices. Base on the market price they can do a little better..

Kudos. Great going Delta. Delta should be given business of the year. For a gas company to hire more than 50 workers.. Their goodness is over looked. Bevis. Should be given manager of the year.
