Daughter surprises mom with Mother's Day gift of Hyundai Tuscon
The newest car dealership on the Virgin Islands’ scene wrapped up its Queen Elizabeth II/Mother's Day sale and by the end of the day had racked up about 20 sales, mostly of its flagship 2016 Hyundai Tuscon.
However, the Mother's Day for Annette V. Mills could not be more perfect, enough to send her hands into the air giving praises to the Almighty.
Her daughter explained why the gift was important to her mother.
“My name is Nashima McKenzie and I just presented my mom with a car because she was in dire need of one and we all know that without mothers no one would have been in the world. So I just thought it would have been a very good gesture to grant her her wish,” said the young woman.
According to her, she loved the special edition Queen Elizabeth II licence plates and decided to get them for the new car as her mother was a queen also.
She said while her mother did own a car before, it had been giving some problems and needed replacing so she decided to get that replacement from TAG.
McKenzie said she fooled her mother telling her that she was not approved for a loan to get a new car but somehow got her to go to the Slaney Point establishment with her to view the car sale and what was on offer.
“I knew that I was already approved for the loan but I just told her I wasn't, just to throw her off,” she said.
The mother told this news site that she was shocked and very much surprised by the Mother's Day gift.
“I thank God because when I drove in here I said that car was mine...not knowing that it was really mine,” she said.
“My daughter said that she was going to trade in her car to get another car but I didn't expect this. My Mother's Days have been great but this one has brought tears to my eyes,” Mills said.
