Crabbe family out! as lease not renewed @ O’Neal’s Gas station
The service station, which is located in the vicinity of the roundabout in Road Town, has been in the family of Former Premier and Leader of the Opposition Honourable Ralph T. O’Neal, OBE for many years.
However, information reaching our news room is that the Crabbe family of Bolo Crabbe and son Mandinka Crabbe who ran the operations via a three year lease is now no longer involved in the operations of the gas station effective November 29, 2015.
According to information obtained the lease was not renewed and it’s unclear whether the O’Neal family will now take over the popular gas station in the heart of Road Town, the Virgin Islands Capital City.
When this news site called Mrs Edris O’Neal for confirmation, she advised that we call Sol directly.
“We are not involved in the gas station. Please contact Sol,” said Mrs O’Neal when questioned as to whether it was true or not that the lease had not been renewed and whether they would be managing the gas station themselves.
When this news site made contact with Mandinka Crabbe, he confirmed that the lease for the management of the gas station was not renewed and ended as of yesterday morning November 29, 2015. He said also that he was not 100 percent sure who was managing the gas station now and advised that we call Sol to find out. Efforts to reach Sol proved futile up to post time.
Employees are tight lipped
Employees of the gas station have been careful not to disclose any information on the transition or the status of their own employment. The service station took on the name of M & M Service Station for the three year operation under the lease.
However our news room got a confirmation that the service station, which is a component of the Ralph O’Neal Group of Companies, will continue to be run under the Sol brand.
The Wickhams Cay Service Station is one of approximately 12 gas stations on Tortola.

No my friends, Employees of this gas station have been hard working loyal dedicated people who have better things to do that spread propaganda or bad mouth any bosses past or present ... Bosses can you say the same about your employees?
As for the fireman ...
All members of staff do not allow customers to block the entrance and exits at the gas station which many of you have as a drive though going full speed in an unsafe manner ... All members of staff also make sure no one just parks their vehicles upon the forecourt enabling customers next in line to get served promptly ... The only time that man who gives so much to his community as is ever speaks out is when the rules are unknowingly or willfully ignored.
A whole news line just to say employees said nothing, O'neals said nothing, sol said nothing and all that was said was a lease was up, so all this pay on time nonsense as the name suggests makes no sense.
