ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Tortola Pier Park will come alive on Sunday May 15, 2016 when Myetts Chill Zone presents Grown Folks Affair, featuring Cool Session Brass out of the United States Virgin Islands and Blues legend Kal David of the USA.

The gates will be open from 5:00 pm but the action will get started later in the evening, when the 'kids' are put to bed and the grown folks can come out.

One of the organisers of the event Valerie Rhymer said the session is expected to be a spectacular one meant to encourage Myetts' following to the new location of the Myetts Chill Zone in the Pier Park.

“Basically we are trying to bring our audience out to the Chill Zone so we have Cool Session Brass coming from the United States Virgin Islands and blues legend from the United States, Kal David Raskin and his band,” she said, in a comment to this news site.

According to Wikipedia, Kal David Raskin, born 15 June 1943, is an American blues guitarist, singer and songwriter, whose 50-year musical career in Illinois, New York and California extended through various phases, including a highly regarded stint with Columbia Records in early 1970s.

Rhymer said the event is meant to be an early one and as such the first performance will get underway by 6:00 pm “until they kick us out by midnight.”

She said Cool Session Brass is an ensemble which incorporates a number of genres such as soca, Caribbean and brass sounds.

“They are so good oh my gosh!” she exclaimed. She continued that apart from the live music there will be turntable entertainment from DJ Dre, DJ Kuga and others.

Rhymer concluded that there will be specials on drinks but to know what these are people will have to show up.

@VG- I was thinking the same thing. They taking their precious time with that one, possibly trying to dictate to the Auditors how they want it don't so to skew the findings. We know we can't trust them with this self-audit thing. At this point, we can't put anything pass this NDP set.
