Contractors needed for VI Housing Programme

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Local contractors are needed in carrying out home repairs as part of the Housing Recovery Assistance Programme.

This is according to a release from the Government Information Service (GIS) which states that Contractors must register their interest by applying to the Ministry of Health and Social Development accompanied accompanied with a cover letter outlining their interest and similar projects undertaken; a valid trade license; certificates of Good Standings from Inland Revenue, the BVI Social Security Board; the National Health Insurance; and must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the construction field.

The contractors who register will comprise of a database of qualified contractors that will be accessible to make the tender process for housing projects more efficient. Contracts may be issued directly by the Government or other funding agencies.

Persons are asked to address required items to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Social Development, Mrs. Petrona Davies and submit them to the Ministry of Health and Social Development, located at Old Peebles Hospital Annex in Tortola. Persons can also email these items to ministryofhealth@gov.vg.
