ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Whether there were any injuries is not yet known but a container hauler truck ploughed into a lot of parked vehicles a stone's throw from the Road Town Police Station on July 20, 2015.

According to an eyewitness, the hauler truck was descending from the Horse Path area when it lost control and ended up in the open lot, slamming into some trees and damaging a number of vehicles in the process. Most of the vehicles appeared to be old and derelict.

According to the source, if wasn't for the trees and parked vehicles, the hauler truck would probably have ploughed into the barber shop.

Ranks of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force were on the scene carrying out their investigations.

They were, however, unwilling to provide this news site with information as to how the accident occurred and whether persons were injured as a result.

The drivers of both vehicles were on the scene providing information to the police.

Oh yes your god is awesome - just look at how many innocent people in the world suffer, how children are abused, how many people are seriously sick, but he is a good god because a truck in huntums ghut didn't kill anyone when the driver was allegedly neglectful in his duties

You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is right and good? Yes you heard right, snakes, i notice you ALWAYS like to come on here attacking anyone who make mention of God and His goodness. God is not responsible for the sickness and suffering of people in this word, sickness, suffering and all the other ills in this world came about by man,s sin. When God created His earth it was PERFECT, no sickness, no famine/starvation etc. STOP blaming God for what man brought on themselves. GOD IS GOOD and will always be, i am speaking from experience because I HAVE EXPERIENCED HIM and KNOW that HE is AWESOME. Fools like you will only speak of what you do not know, so let all those who have experience Him say so. No matter FOOLISH AS YOU ARE GOD STILL LOVES YOU ANYWAY. peace.

Isn't it time the police started to enforce the traffic laws here? People drive recklessly all the time with impunity here. There are no consequences at all, except for the all too frequent accidents reported on these pages. We all pay for this one way or another, either in damages to our vehicles, health care costs, or a general increase in insurance costs. The more people get away with dangerous driving, the more people will do it, and eventually there will be fatalities. Why even bother with a vehicle code, speed limits, etc., if it is not going to be enforced. Leaving it to people to comply simply does not work. I'm sick and tired of all the near misses I've experienced because somebody passes on a blind curve, or is going so fast around a curve that they are on the wrong side, or swerves over to the wrong side to avoid a speed bump, or because they decide to turn without signaling, or to spot stop in the middle of the road to talk to somebody on a blind curve ec, etc.

I agree. I think that if a vehicle is involved in an accident as a result of carelessness, then the license should be confiscated and let the person attend a road safety seminar or re-take the driving test again before gving the license back.

boy I does see you pushing them big truck hard real hard, I even asked myself why is it you have to be driving so fast. Even with your white pick up truck I witnessed you some day ago on a blast passing all kinds of vehicle swerving in an out of lane and when I look it was right by the gap before you reach one mart is where you made your turn. I said now that make sense. Man we need to take or time on the road it is not us alone there. But boy oh boy I thank God no one was hurt because that would have been some seriousness there.

I blame the Police - what a wonder the Police didn't tell them victims of the accident to go see their lawyer and then they go back to the Station that is what they are doing in accidents now and telling yo the Commissioner say so, ya all can't see the Force going to the dogs, If there was Traffic Laws enforcement a lot ah things woulda been avoided. we miss Callwood and them old Police Officers who them force to retire.
