ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Caribbean Insurers Limited (CIL) has turned its attention to supporting and promoting local talent especially in the music industry in the Virgin Islands (VI) as a part of its corporate commitment.

Yesterday April 16, 2014 the insurance company rolled out a jingle competition; a promotion that is being coordinated by Mr Paul ‘Gadiethz’ Peart who explained that they will be looking for the best of the best to become the face of CIL.

According to Mr Peart the competition is one of a high standard that will see the winner taking a cash prize of $500 and a chance of being the face of the insurance company for one year. “While the competition is open to all ages we are looking for someone that is of good character and [has] what it takes to be a voice for CIL,” he said.

He noted that during the process of judging the entries of jingles they would be having looking intensely at the educational institutions especially the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, all the high schools and other institutions. “We know that there are persons in those institutions that are studying in those areas and have the type of class and character that can [make them] great ambassadors for this company,” he said.

The competition is opened for one month and for the details on the criteria, persons must visit CIL website www.caribbeaninsurers.com.

CIL’s Managing Director Mr Brian W. Jermyn said that they are encouraging persons for all the sister islands to also take advantage of entering the competition. He said that CIL is in the process of adding a new face to its presence in the VI and the jingle competition is just one of the many activities that will be facilitating that process.

The promotion can be heard daily on ZROD 103.7 FM for the next 29-30 days. The winner of the competition will be announced on the same radio station and will be featured at a special ceremony that is being planned for the launching of the ‘new look’ CIL.
