ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Hon. Julian Fraser RA, long time basketball fan, handed out the Sea Cows Bay Basketball Club’s District Summer League Awards on Saturday December 10, 2011 at the Belle Vue Gym.

The event was moved to the indoor facility following the heavy rains that washed out Friday’s original schedule, which was due to be held on the newly renovated court in the 3rd District.

Hon. Fraser had been instrumental in making sure that the project had gone according to plan and has now stepped up to be a sponsor along with Harney’s of the SCBBC 3rd District Inter District 13-15 Christmas League.

The Christmas League tipped off immediately after the Summer League Awards and featured a lop-sided match up between Cane Garden Bay and Threllfell Invaders.

Dominic Adams recorded the league’s first Double Double with 14 points and 19 rebounds as his CGB team won 65 – 32. Trevor Davis of the Invaders recorded the season’s 2nd Double of 14 points and 14 rebounds, but no other team mate recorded double figures.

For Cane Garden Bay, J'moi Liburd top scored with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal. Adams added 1 steal and 2 assists, Romain Minott 10 points, 2 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 blocks and D'moi Hodge 10 points, 2 steals, 2 assists

The other scorers for the Invaders were Chris-Andre Stevens with 7 points, 8 rebounds and a steal along with Shamoy Christopher with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal

On Monday night, December 12, 2011, action saw the Invaders fall to their second successive heavy defeat, this time at the hands of Road Town.

Summer League MVP Jachoy Walwyn fired his team into an unassailable position with 18 points in the 69 – 44 victory. Franklin Penn Junior added 17 and Shadine Rubaine 11 to complete the rout.

Stevens recorded the league’s 3rd Double with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Invaders who also got an encouraging performance from Trevor Davis with 9 points, 2 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 assist and 2 blocks.

Game 2 saw Cane Garden Bay remain unbeaten with a thrilling 49 – 31 win against Parsons. Romain Minott led the way with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals,1 assist and a block, whilst both J'moi Liburd and Dominic Adams also scored 12 points.

No wonder you support Fraser, ignorance always loves more ignorance!! The At-Large reps we ALL elected are our representatives too, so when work is given out, don't feel no way! Now because the usual 'HOGS' can't eat how they want, all of a sudden there's a problem with people getting work? You all play so big and bad but you are really a bunch of coward, sad, uneducated and spineless people!!

the onliest spirts that cause division is the ones in the new life church that separates wives from their husband and rather invest in foreign interest .fraser is a good man and a spirit that he has a a spirit of togetherness and family also a spirit to liberate so go new life u will see all the spirits there the boggy man freddy cruger cartoon characters walt disney characters funny man spirit all kinds of spirits . the youths are being recognise for the good work that they have done the vip is not going to use the youths to get from point a to b like the ndp the vip will uplift the youths

LOL!! Foreign interests like Biwater and Aqua Design? LOL! He got you all so brainwashed! He's engaged in the same things you claim to be against, but all he has to do is give you guys a bit of pickings and you easily bought. LOL!! You all talk about investment club and others but look how he set up himself while in Government. You better recognise what's going on and stop ranting like a lunatic. Most of you blind bats don't even have a pot to piss in or a proper roof to rest your head under, but willing to kill for a man who made himself rich off the people's back and lives in a big mansion away from everybody else. DUMB DUMB DUMB!!
