Chic Trends on maiden trip off Tortola
It is the 48th year of the Easter festivities on the island and according to popular opinion this year is likely to be one of the best in many years as businesses and other features are set to join. One of those is Chic Trends, the Territory’s first mobile boutique.
“We want to share with our customers, friends and fellow BVIslanders who are going to be [in] VG, what those [in] Tortola enjoy from Chic trends,” said owner Ms Tekeisha K. Drew.
Ms Drew said they journeyed to the island yesterday afternoon and upon arrival curious minds began to inquire. She said that they are going to be in Spanish Town until Monday April 21 and will be adding to the Monday Parade bliss. She said that like the many other troupes they would have their special attraction to the parade to make it one of the best in years on the sister island.
“My main partner and sweetheart Mr Danny F. Ferrol surprised me with the added feature that is going to make the boutique look really attractive for the parade on Monday,” said Drew.
Chic Trends opened its doors on Tortola on February 28, 2014 and was placed in the history books of the Virgin Islands as being the first of such business by a budding local youth.
This was something that was underscored by City Manager Mrs Janice Brathwaite-Edwards something that has brought new life to the city.
