SOPHIE BAY HILL, Tortola, VI - Traffic heading to the East End area of Tortola shortly after 1 P.M. today, June 6, 2013 was interrupted when a cement truck developed problems causing it to be stuck along Sophie Bay Hill.

At the time of capturing the photo, the truck's rear was touching the safety rails along the hill while the remainder of it spanned the carriageway. With no traffic police to direct the traffic, the man who appeared to have been the driver had the uphill task of attempting to control the flow of traffic to avoid any further mishap.

To pass the truck, which carries the name SCP and licence plate number CM5294, traffic coming from either direction was forced squeeze past the walls of the hill, forcing some skidding in the process. Big vehicles, including trucks and vans, were forced to either turn back or wait for the road to be cleared of the cement truck.
