Cedar looking for clean sweep of BDO Primary League!

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- With just a few games to go, Cedar School are top of the standings in each age group of the BDO Primary School League and have secured the U-7 Championship ahead of the Seventh Day Adventist School.

In recent Under 7 games, an Azarni Callwood double put Cedar well on their way to a 3-1 victory over Enid Scatliffe Green with the other goal coming from Alex Fountain. Cedar also recorded a 1-0 win over Leonora Delville courtesy of a goal from Fountain.

Enid Scatliffe Orange and Leonora Delville Primary battled to a 1-1 draw with goals from Jamal Huggins and Kimani Campbell respectively.

Montesorri and Enid Scatliffe Orange had also finished in a stalemate before the Seventh Day Adventists recorded a 1-0 win over Montessori with a goal from Melissya Williams.

Cedar are top of the league with 31 points, Seventh Day Adventist and Cornerstone are joint 2nd on 23 and Enid Scatliffe Maroon are in 4th on 19 points.

In the Under 9 Division, Cedar are also top with 21 points, the Seventh Day Adventists and First Impressions are joint second on 18 points, St Georges sit 4th on 16 points and Althea Scatliffe 5th on 10 points.

In the latest round of matches, Michael Robinson had scored twice to give Begrado Flax a 2-0 win over Willard Wheatley and Althea Scatliffe had seen their title hopes ended with a 3-1 defeat by the Seventh Day Adventists. Kirov Valrose opened the scoring in the first half before a Denvin Jones double made it 3-0. Sherwood Charles pulled one back for ASPS.

Stephan Deleon scored 5 goals as St Georges beat Enis Adams 7-1 and Cedar beat Claudia Creque 3-1 with goals from Michael Palladino, Nathan Haycraft and Bradford Green. Jadin Dabreo was on the score sheet for Claudia Creque.

In the Under 12’s, Cedar have a four-point cushion over First Impressions with 21 points to 17. Cedar’s second eleven are third on 15 points and Joyce Sammuels and St Georges sit just 2 points further back with 13 each.

Guillaume Parkins helped himself to a four goal haul as First Impressions stayed in touch with Cedar during a 6-0 win over Cornerstone. Lilly Pierce opened the scoring and Jahmal Prentice rounded it out. St Georges received a win by forfeiture from Bregado Flax as did the Seventh Day Adventists in their match with Rainbow Primary.

Cedar 2 stayed in touch thanks to a 2-1 win over Claudia Creque with the goals coming from Nicole Munro and Luca Reich. Kyla Vanterpool replied for Claudia Creque. Cedar 1 put four past the same opponents with 2 goals from Luca Chalwell and 1 each from Taskings and Robert Wong. Kayla Vanterpool scoring a late consolation for Claudia Creque and Dominic Munro, along with Liam Block, ensured the points for the league leaders in a 2-0 win over Cornerstone.
