ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Courtesy of a match winning performance from Drumar Toney, top cricket club Cavaliers beat Grenada C.C. by 56 runs on Sunday December 13, 2015 at Greenland Recreational Park to lift the Do It Right Sports 20/20 Championship.

Batting first, Cavaliers posted 236 from their 20 overs with Toney smashing his way to 90. His knock included 8 boundaries and 6 maximums.

He received great support from Kwesi Sinclair, who scored 60.

Tournament Leading Wicket Taker, Trent Belfon picked up two wickets as did Anthony and J. Ennis.

In reply, Grenada could muster just 180 all out, with Toney picking up four wickets for 42.

Tournament Highest Run Scorer, Derol Redhead scored 34, Irwin Lewis 36 and Bryan Daley 53.

Christianand Dhanpaul finished with three for 34 and Vishal Bharat two for 27.

“When you look at our team, we have been in a lot of finals and we know how to hold our nerve and know what we have to do to win. Toney is a good all round cricketer, who has been in consistent good form since he arrived in the territory and we are very pleased he has joined us this year,” commented Cavaliers Coach and Captain Vishal Bharat.

Cricket now takes a short break before the 2016 season starts at the end of January with a two Division format, a Knockout Cup and plenty of opportunity for everyone to enjoy the game, both from playing and being a spectator.

    Congrats Cavaliers. Great performance in this tournament- Keep playing good cricket.
    I have always liked that the players' families are involved in the sport. I hope the youngsters are the future of Cavaliers!
