ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Her battle with cancer, from the time of detection to the time of death, was a short one but the fight continues with the loved ones of late former magistrate Charmaine R. Rosan-Bunbury, who died on December 31, 2017 at a hospital in the United Kingdom.

In Rosan-Bunbury’s honour and memory, her sister Cindy Rosan-Jones said that a “Light Up The Night” walk will be staged on Saturday January 27, 2018.

"Light Up The Night is a breast cancer awareness silent walk, in honour of Charmaine Rosan-Bunbury. The event will reflect on her life, the battle against breast cancer and general awareness of the disease," Ms Rosan-Jones said.

According to the sister of the territory's former attorney and political candidate, the event will be on Long Bay Beach, Beef Island, starting at 5:00 P.M. She described the event as a "soothing and remembrance stroll in honour of our wife, mother, sister, friend and colleague."

Attached is a registration fee of  $30. The first 100 registrants will receive a free t-shirt. Other paraphernalia will be available. Children under 12 are free.

All funds raised will go to Sensus Health Club & the British Virgin Islands Cancer Society, Ms Rosan-Jones said.

The former Crown Magistrate Rosan-Bunbury is survived by her husband Alec G. Bunbury Snr and three children- Adin 7, AJ 13 and Delauni 18.

Thank you for your comments. This event is being started as an annual fundraiser to raise further awareness and assistance for breast cancer Thus all funding being donated to the Virgin Islands Cancer Society & the Sensus group, who continue to afford women an opportunity for free testing and assistance in time of need.

We will of course hold a Service for our loved one and ALL will be invited to pay their last respects. A date will be announced shortly.

      Thank you.
