ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association (BVICCHA) is inviting local chefs and bartender of hotels, resorts and restaurants to attend a special meeting to discuss the rebuilding and rebranding of BVI National Culinary Team On April 15, 2019.

According to a press release from the BVIVVHA, the meeting, to be held at Maria’s by the Sea at 6 pm, will seek to discuss the mission, goals and programme details of the team as well as to share information about an upcoming competition in Miami.

It is the interest of the BVICCHA to strengthen the team with local chefs who are passionate and committed to serving the territory by offering their voice, skills, and talents on an international stage.

We invite local chefs and bartenders to engage in the process with the view of developing both a short-term and long-term strategy that promotes the Territory throughout the Caribbean and beyond.

The meeting also welcomes senior chefs throughout the Territory, who would like to serve as mentors to assist younger chefs who are in need of support and guidance as they hone their skills and further develop their careers in the Culinary Arts.

The BVICCHA seeks to promote the National Team in partnership with the BVI government, the BVI Tourist Board and the Private Sector who support the vision of building a National Team that can represent the territory abroad while expanding and enhancing the Tourism Product in the BVI.

The BVICCHA also actively aims to promote a positive business and social environment for the benefit of the territory while sustaining the unique advantages of the BVI.

The National Team has won Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in the past and is determined to once again recapture the Gold Medal in the upcoming Taste of the Caribbean in Miami this summer.

And with experienced Gold Medalist Chef Kenneth Molyneaux as the lead coach, the British Virgin Islands is poised for continued greatness.

For any further information or support please contact the BVICCHA Office on 494-3514 or by email info@bviccha.org. For social media https://www.facebook.com/BVICCHA. Let us encourage the BVI National Culinary Team as they strive for excellence.
