ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The BVI Athletics Association (BVIAA) has announced that each meet of the 2013 Development Meet Series, which starts Saturday January 12, will be named after someone in the athletics family.

Also new for the 2013 season, which opens at 10 A.M. on the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds, is that three of the five meets on the card will be held on Friday afternoons starting at 5:30 P.M.

The first race in the series kicks off at 10 A.M. on Saturday with the Hastings Grant Memorial, which will be followed by the Tahesia Harrigan-Scott Classic on Jan 25; The Rose Phillips King-Adams Classic is set for Feb 2; and the Johnny Hassan Relays on Feb 22. The series will conclude with the Rey O’Neal Fast Time on March 1 ahead of the National Jr. Championships, which also serves as the Carifta Games Trials on March 9.
