SHENZHEN China, Asia – Mrs British Virgin Islands (BVI), Zoe J. Walcott, is a favourite at the Mrs Globe Pageant this Saturday, December 1, 2018, in Shenzhen, China.

Ms Walcott, according to a statement from her organising committee, is in the running for the People’s Choice Award, which is guaranteed a spot amongst the top-5 contenders to the coveted crown of Mrs Globe 2018.

Miss BVI is currently in the #3 position for this award.

She was selected to perform on cultural night and has been given the opportunity to speak about Virgin Islands’ (VI) recovery, and plug its tourism and financial services sectors.

The divorced mother of three, in her Mrs Globe Bio, said she is often perceived as tenacious, fun-loving, energetic and sometimes too intense.

Multitalented

With a skill-set ranging from singing, dancing, drama to hosting, the local celebrity is known for her roles as host of Summer Sizzle BVI and the Territory’s Music Festival with headliner Fantasia, in addition to a political bid in 2007, as Territorial Candidate but unfortunately missed the mark by a mere 18 votes.

“My magic is the ability to inspire others to see the magic within themselves…sometimes you have to change your perspective, and what may have seemed elusive becomes attainable,” the Mrs Globe hopeful divulged in her Bio, ahead of her bid for the Mrs Globe Crown this Saturday, December 1, 2018, in Shenzhen, China.

Virgin Islanders are being encouraged to be ‘BVI strong’ and show ‘BVI pride’ by voting for Ms Walcott. Votes will carry a donation of US $10 for the WIN Foundation which globally aids women and children and can be done at www.mrsglobe.com/mrs-bvi.

The organising committee has since extended a special 'thank you,' to the donors and contributions from Beautiful by Jasanay, Kym’Asia by Germain Smith, Skelton Group, Top Priority Security, Caribbean Cellars, National Bank of the Virgin Islands, Hon. Marlon A. Penn, Hon. Julian Fraser RA, and Sunbloom Beauty Supplies for making it possible for her to participate.

The pageant will be streaming live on December 2018 2018.

We never truly embrace our thriving people until they won globally. Other countries like Jamaica, from them they hear a Jamaican involved from the get go they are supporting.

@VI, you are sad and envious. I have always admired Zoe. At her age, I think she has done well in taking good care of herself. Age is not an issue, it is the brain, talent and intelligence to represent our country. One day you will get old and fragile. One day some young person will have to lead and guide you. Your beauty if you have any at all will one day be like a vapor. Support and stop calling down people because of age. Young or old have a right to represent our country.. Go ZOE! don't let that bad minded comment depress you. You are a beautiful person.

This particular pageant is geared towards women who are or were married hence the term Mrs. and there is no age limit to enter. So if you know someone in your eyes who is deemed young and willing to participate then tell them apply.
