ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - BVI Cable TV recently completed the upgrade of its network to an all-digital platform. For 90 days customers were advised to swap their analog boxes to Motorola digital converters to continue to receive the service and enjoy the new crystal-clear digital quality programming. Effective April 15, 2013, when the company discontinued its analog service, the analog boxes were rendered useless.

“BVI Cable TV is asking customers who have analog boxes to return them to the office regardless of their current condition. We know that some people may have tampered with the analog boxes in the past but we are not concerned about that now,” stated Luanne Hodge, Vice President and General Manager of BVI Cable TV.

Hodge continued, “We are simply interested in restoring service to former customers who must have a digital converter to receive service and providing service to new customers may have been on our system at some point. We also want to ensure that the analog boxes are disposed of properly because it is electronic waste that must be handled appropriately.”

In an effort to allow customers to swap converters over the next few days, BVI Cable TV continues with its extended office hours. The Business Office is open from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It is important to note that weekdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. the staff will only process exchanges from existing customers in an effort to further expedite the process.
