TRELLIS BAY, Beef Island, VI- As persons flock salons, barbershops and clothing stores in last minute preparations for the Long Walk to Freedom Concert at Festival Grounds tomorrow, June 15, 2019, the main act, Mark Anthony Myrie aka 'Buju Banton', has arrived in the Virgin Islands.

Buju touched down at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island around 1:00pm today, June 14, 2019.

Before departing the airport, the Reggae superstar stopped to greet waiting reporters and a few fans at the airport.

“My people of the BVI, I love you. It’s been quite a while since I have seen you in Tortola. I can’t wait to see you in person to sing all these songs for you for all these years,” Buju told reporters.

The Jamaican is expected to make an appearance at various business places, including Quitos Inn later this evening.

The Long Walk to Freedom Concert is being promoted by KT Productions in collaboration with Pumpstation Productions, Westline Entertainment and Xclusive Levels.

Damian Marley put on a show from start to finish!!!!

I like how you showed it’s a matter of your preference and didn’t try to rain on the others who are going parade.

Buju and your entourage we’re a group of small islands but you’ll see the magnitude of our appreciation for your music.

Enjoy yourselves everyone! Don't mind the naysayers who are not going. The negativity on social media to announce who won't be going and trying to get others on their bandwagon is attention-seeking. Lively up yourself and stop being downpressors.

Where are the announcements when the same people do not attend other local events. If you are not going to Miss BVI do you announce it... if you are not going to Destra do you announce it... if you are not going to vote for elections do you announce it, if you're not going to church do you announce it.

    Lay off that bitter bush.

Buju and the other artists have a number of conscious positive music.

Welcome the visitors to our shores...let them experience our culture and positivity so that they would return and also share their experience with others who may visit as well.

Listen to the lyrics, sing, dance.. don't spoil yourself now. Bellow out those tunes and have some good clean fun!
