Bishop, it's time you stop hiding Stand up in your church and preach about this, expose your son, tell him how you feel (you must be so hurt) There are many people going through this; they do ninety nine for their children and all they are asking is that their children do that "one" to make the hundred and instead of doing that "one", they turn around and bring shame to them. You feed them You clothe them You give them money You drag them to church You pay them for nothing, just to give them motivation Some parents go as far as to lie for them to save them from shame, and this is what they get Bishop you are not alone, "OUT" your son, so we can "out" these other ungrateful children Stand Up and say, WE ARE NOT GOING TO BEAR THE SHAME OF OUR ADULT CHILDREN!!!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I hope you do not have children of your own, nieces, nephews or friends with children. People want the best for their children and can instill good values and morals, but guess what, the enemy "SATAN" has his agenda, so instead of bashing you should pray grace and mercy for him and his family. Remember all of us, and I say "ALL" of us have our cross to bear, my prayer is that you will understand better as you dont know when your time will come and remember God is still there!!!!!!!!!

You know what they gonna say now, john son this and john son that. whose going to come on here and say, Brandon is old enough (with a daughter) to take his own path. A parent can only do so much. You can give them life but you cant give them a mind. John, you did your share, don't mind the haters, THEY WILL TALK. BRANDON, GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER, YOU'RE A FATHER. You cant hide behind daddy any longer.

It seems that child is somewhat troubled (albeit a nice kid). And its true it also seems he has been enabled by the persons around him.

Totally agree with you 'billy b'!! It is unfortunate that this young man has to bring shame to his family on a whole, his father and most importantly himself. He is old enough to make his own decisions and his father being a well respected individual in this community (so i've heard), especially since his a pastor he should know better. I don't blame Pastor Cline at all, he did his part and I'm sure he tried to raise his son with morals and respect and I'm sure that this is heart renching however, if he did the crime....he needs to pay the time! Let him deal with this on his own cause you were not there when he was doing it. Enabling him like how some of these other parents do especially like how that elected official child was caught with drugs and only got community service. She enables her children too much that is why they always got her name in the news!

I agree with you. A parent can only do their best to raise a child. Whatever path a child takes depends on him not who his parents are. I am sure Bishop Cline and Brenda did their best to raise Brandon the best they knew how too. He choose to take this path.

No longer being said "the parents ate the sour grapes and the children teeth are set on edge but every soul that sinned it shall die". A man or a woman called to lead by God have to have his/her household in control, specially their children but after your children are adults they have to find their own path in life, and no longer papa or mama should be responsable for them. David and Samuel were MEN of God, please study the life of their children. I dont know Pastor Cline personally but his child has to have a relationship with God himself. It is lack of senses to blame someone for the decisions of family members. A lot of people believe that Job was ponished for something wrong he had done but God had the greatest report about him no one had.

Shame to refer to yourself as a teacher with such poor grammar. As for what anyone does, only God can judge any one of us. People always frown on a situation when they are not the one in the person's shoes. The young man certainly needs direction, however, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

Not saying what he is doing is right but as mentioned in the article, a number of young men were arrested and charged with the same misdemeanor... Furthermore the sins of the son has little to nothing to do with the father... He is his own man and he knows right from wrong and he made a choice. So before everyone gets all biblical, maybe you should narrow things down to free will... Lastly I'm very sure many of the authors of the previous comments did something that went against our parents will... Keep in mind those glass houses!!!!

I have children. Some of whom are sons. My husband and I try our best to train them right. I also dreamed one night on of my sons were incarcerated and in the dream I was in a mess. It really hurt. I was so happy when I got up and realize it was just a dream. We can train them, beat, them, punish them, do what ever. But do you know that even a baby knows how to manipulate its parents each time it cries? Those of you who have kids, have you really ever realized that you never had to train them how to do something naughty? Its almost as if they were born knowing how to sin? Did you realize that your role all along has been to teach them how to do the right things? But how did they automatically know how to do the wrong? The bible says that because Adam sinned, the rest of the world would born in sin and would need a saviour to save them from their sins. The bible also said to train up a child in the way he or she should go, when they are old they will not depart from it. It never said they would always to the right things along the way. It never specified just "How Old" they would be when they begin to heed the training received as a child. It never said that on their road to development that if you train them right they would NEVER do wrong. It says when they are old or come to their senses they will not depart from the training. So ease up off the parents and the young man. He would be just fine. ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD AND ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE.

"It's almost as if they were born knowing how to sin". Proverbs: Chapter 22 Verse 15 says: Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him That is why they do wrong before they ever start doing right, but as parents we are to deter and train them to lead a different path. All have sinned and fallen short, if grown man and women have fallen short how much so would the youths fall short? We just have to deliver tough love to them
