Bolt arrives in Rio!

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Jamaican superstar Usain St Leo Bolt touched down at the Antonio Carlos Jobim, Galeao International Airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Thursday July 28, 2016 as he gets ready to launch his Olympics 2016 campaign.

Bolt arrived at approximately 8:00 P.M. with his team, which includes executive manager and best friend Nugent Walker and his massage therapist Everald 'Eddie' Edwards.

The Jamaican is looking to successfully defend his 100m and 200m gold medals, which he won at both the 2008 and 2012 Games in Beijing and London, respectively.

His preparation for the Olympics has not been without setbacks; however, as a hamstring injury forced him out of Jamaica's Olympic trials on July 1, 2016.

He returned to the track last Friday July 22, 2016 at the London Diamond League, clocking a strong 19.88 as he won the 200m - his first since winning gold at the World Championships last year.

Bolt will join up with the rest of the Jamaican team members, including Asafa Powell and Yohan Blake, who are already at a pre-Games training camp, which is based at a nearby naval academy.

Issues @ Olympic Village

Meanwhile, at the Athletes village, sabotage by unhappy workers may have caused water and gas leaks and blocked toilets and electrical faults that slowed teams from moving into the Athletes' Village, Rio Olympic organisers have said.

"We are considering isolated cases, but we haven't seen enough to say it was an organised sabotage thing," Rio spokesman Mario Andrada said. He said the most likely cause was what he called "organisational problems".

All 31 buildings at the massive compound for 18,000 athletes and staff were due to be ready at the end of yesterday, with the Games opening in just over a week. Andrada says about 400 of the 3,600 rooms in the complex had defects.

Look at the pure Admiration this possibly Brazilian girl in the background has for the Athlete. If it was here, it would be a more artificial, water-down, effect. If any. Every country give their athletes 100% ambassadorship support; we on the other hand, don't genuinely support our own.
