ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – With catchy music blasting in the background, the bold and beautiful colours of Spring 2012 wowed patrons and onlookers as UMI’s Fashion models strut the runway outside of the Waterfront Drive boutique yesterday afternoon, Friday March 2, 2012.

Virgin Islands News Online caught up with Deborah O’Neal, proprietor of UMI’s Fashion, who gushed about the show stopping impact of the mini fashion show that began at 5:15 p.m.

“People were very excited to see the new trends for the season and we were happy to present it. People slowed down in their cars staring, and waving,” she said with a grin.

And while the fashion shows had stopped for a while, O’Neal revealed that the boutique now has a new Assistant Manager who is pushing to re-start the show as a way of promoting the fabulous clothing and accessories UMI’s has to offer.

“This is our second mini fashion show so far, and this one featured Spring trend 2012, which are bright colours. Everything comes with a pop of colour. The bright pinks, greens, yellows, oranges. You have them in bags, in accessories, in shoes...everywhere you turn!” O’Neal declared.

She also revealed that the Funky Friday Fashion show will be back with a bang beginning this month. “It will definitely be the last Friday in March."
