ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Virgin Islands Party (VIP) says it is unfortunate that other political parties born out of division would cast division where none exists.

According to a release from the Party on January 29, 2019, they say “This is not a billboard contest. THIS IS AN ELECTION FOR ‘CHANGE AND RENEWAL’ FROM FINANCIAL CHAOS AND THE BREACH OF PUBLIC TRUST.”

There are many genuine issues to be resolved in the Territory. Billboards don't govern and can't vote. The voting public is not concerned about the team with the most, the biggest, and prettiest billboards; rather the people want genuine solutions to secure their future and their children's future.

Perhaps if as much time and energy was spent on finding out where our $7.2 million went or on the reopening of our Public Library as we are spending talking about billboards, we as a Territory would be better off.  The Virgin Islands Party is united in our efforts to bring change and renewal to these beautiful Virgin Islands.
