The 35-year-old man who was stabbed on Christmas Eve is now listed in stable condition in the ICU, and the 43-year-old suspect “wanted in connection with this incident has now turned himself in to police.”

A police spokesperson said, “The 35-year-old man who suffered a stab wound to the chest outside Place’s Place Bar at around 5:37 pm on Tuesday 24th December 2019, is now listed in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward Memorial Hospital.

“The 43-year-old suspect wanted in connection with this incident has now turned himself into police.

“However, investigators are still interested in speaking with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information that might assist with the investigation.

Local authorities urged the public that anyone who witnessed what happened or has information that could assist investigators, is asked to contact local detectives or the police Confidential Crime Stoppers initiative.
