ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Less than two hours before the rays of the sun lit up the sky to announce the breaking of a new day, International Jamaican Reggae Star Beres Hammond, brought the curtains down at the Multipurpose Sports Complex, to a packed and well appreciative crowd on Sunday November 27, 2016.

Beres, known the world over for his lovers rock music, serenaded the crowd with his crowd-pleasing dance tactics and hit songs like: Rockaway, They Gonna Talk, She Loves Me Now, Love From A Distance and of course I Feel Good.

He took the stage shortly after 2:00 A.M. to give the thousands in attendance what they were thirsting for.

Other performances were from the Sting Ray Singers from the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College who also wowed the crowd and had them calling for an encore to their melodious renditions of reggae, Christmas carols, love songs and even Latino music.

Calypso Queen Sistah Joyce, Deon and Dee Fire were the other performers.

One female patron from Jamaica who gave her feedback on the show said she was impressed.

“Beres performed very well.  The college children too, they were really good,” she said, referring to the Sting Ray Singers.

Another patron agreed saying, “I enjoyed myself, even though I have to walk home in these high shoes because I don’t want to wake my husband to come for me. I wanted to enjoy myself tonight.”

The legendary Reggae star announced that this was going to be his last performance for 2016.

The show was a KT Production in association with Pumpstation Entertainment.

It was initially slated for the Festival Grounds in Road Town but was relocated to the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex following persistent inclement weather.

@one eye. Be Nice! Thanks Kenny for organizing a good show. If we are entertained with more singers like Beres Hammond, this hot trend of gun fire will slow down because LOVE for each other will spread through the Air.

To Hey! And a slowdown in domestic violence too. Reminds me of the Days when we used to ROCKAWAY, without the violence. Those were the Days...

2am. Crazy late. I wanted to go but once it change from the Festival grounds, I change my mind. The field Vybz is much better than the complex. As a matter a fact a few of my friends change their minds from Going because of the new location..

Every single person that didn't go is $40.00 less. U know the field would brought out more people. For the sake of maths.. 30 people didn't go because they didn't like the new location that's $1,200.00. And I know atlease 10 people that didn't go because of the location.. That's only what I know.. It's all about numbers baby.

What about the other patrons who decided to go to the complex because the venue was changed? Seems as if we were factored in your maths as to the various possibilities too.

The weather experts had it 70 percent chance of rain in a week where t rained everyday leading up t the night of the show..... a decision had to be made fast to secure the Complex on time to get it show ready.

Awesome show! I enjoyed every minute of Beres. Money well spent. The venue was fine, reminded me of one of those shows abroad.

Was skeptical about the venue change but it really didn't put a damper on the show. Beres put on a great show and I got way more than $40 dollars worth! Good job Kenny for putting this together.

I think Beres came on too late though and the College band spent more time on stage than him. what a shame. His performance good though. Just saying. he needs to spend more time on stage entertaining.

KT Productions brings nothing but the best. Percy Sledge was a win in the same venue. I expected nothing less. Well done!

Any show that goes on till 4am should be inside. I love Beres but finishing work at 12 and up at 5 to work again doesn't work well if there is an event in town. The hills amplify everything.

The show started too late. I shouldn't have to wait until 2am for the main artist to come on. Foolishness!
