ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The parents of brain injury survivor, Kenyatta Richardson, have arranged a thanksgiving concert in aid of his recovery and continued rehabilitation, in addition to financing a platform to bring awareness to persons in the Territory.

This according to Ms Kay L. Richardson, who in a public missive recently announced the April 1, 2019, event dubbed dubbed “a Praise and Thanksgiving celebration.”

Richardson, who was studying in the US to become a Professional Airline Pilot and Air Traffic Controller "was an innocent passenger in a Taxi and gotT-boned at a speed of approximately 76 mph, yet survived by the grace of God."

The charity concert is being billed to coincide with the one year anniversary of the accident.

According to Ms Richardson, We have confirmed a few artists to perform at this event that our son loves…. They will be giving their time as contribution as the event will be free of charge.”

Rehabilitation

She noted that “while free of charge we will be collecting a love offering…All offerings or proceeds from any items sold will go towards his ongoing rehabilitation program.”

It was also observed that the New Life Baptist Church has also given their hall as contribution as well.

Ms Richardson in her missive also announced the release of a new single, which “will be sold for only $5.00 which barely covers the cost of production, but we truly desire to be a blessing.”

According to Ms Richardson, “We genuinely believe that your sponsorship would help us make this event a sure-fire success as we celebrate the goodness of God and thank everyone publicly.”

She did point out that “we do not know the total cost of hosting this event and production of the single of which we hope you will be contributing a part…Whatever you can contribute will go towards the cost of the event and any excess will be paid to the Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation Center where he is currently receiving Physical and Speech therapy and the facility where he will be taking vocational therapy soon.”
