The equaliser to come in the 70th minute saw much protest from Ballstarz but to no avail as the referee allowed the goal to stand despite a clear off side from One Love. The ball was lobbed across the face of goal from the right wing with no less than five One Love players caught behind the Ballstars defence, but linesman Alfred Reid shockingly did not raise his flag. SPANISH TOWN, Virgin Gorda, VI- The usual intense encounter was expected between rivals Ballstarz and One Love but not much of the controversy in the game, which saw Ballstarz come out winners on penalties after a questionable goal had seen One Love equalised in regulation time at the Virgin Gorda Recreation Ground on December 1, 2013.

Having lost to One Love in the semi-finals of the recently concluded Virgin Gorda Cup, Ballstarz were quickly on their way to sweet revenge when Shamoy Thompson found the back of the nets after just four minutes of play.

It was soon 2-nil Ballstars when Nigel Charlemagne scored in the 11th minute.

Ballstarz seemed clear for victory; however, a slipup in defence saw Richard Morgan easily beat off the challenge of Rolando Codner to slip the ball past goalkeeper Maxcel Dabreo.

Richard Morgan was the player scoring the much protested goal.

Ballstarz were then perfect from the penalty spot to come out 5-3 winners and set up a semi-final clash between the winner of the game between Islanders and Old Madrid who will play on Wednesday, December 4, 2013.

The semi-final will be played on Sunday December 8, 2013.
