@ mr shovels: for real because over a week ago road town was littered with police they even gave out over 500 moving violations BUT for some mysterious reason the police have all gone away again.....on highways in Tortola persons drive without light; scooters weaving in and out of traffic, the list goes on; highway safety and police patrols go hand in hand(when will these things be corrected)...

Sadly it will take a tourists death to make our government mandate that these trucks transport items more securely. It is not too long ago people lamented about boulders being transported with only a single chain at the back to hold them in. Don't talk about the loose gravel one truck dropped from HLSCC to town. I doubt by the time he reach town he had any gravel left in the back of his truck.

You all keep transporting equipment without it being properly secured. Just suppose someone had gotten hurt. I'm only speaking for myself. One of those trucks hit me, I am going to own Tortola. I hope they know what they are doing when they transport the generators to Pockwood pond.Driver, I hope you drive like a snail until you get to Pockwood pond.

Simply, gross negligence and lawlessness. Total disregard for public health and safety. Unenforceable laws are useless and serves no purpose.

These truckers transport all kinds of stuff without securing their load. Sometimes we might see a truck loaded with boxes, rocks, steel and in this case cement, just piled up without being tied down. This practice is a danger to the public and the police will not do anything about these lawless truckers. Tickets and fines should be issued to curb this lawlessness. They are too damn lazy to tie down and secure the merchandise they are transporting.

stop being cheap and either get a proper truck to move the cement or tie them down.
