DUFFS BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- ‘Powerful’ is certainly one of the words to describe the on-going Power Plus services at the New Life Baptist Church in Duffs Bottom. The one-week event is set to end on a very high note on Friday October 13, 2013 following two nights of Bishop George Bloomer.

According to a press release from the New Life Baptist Church (NLBC), Bishop Bloomer agreed to join the team of powerful speakers within minutes of being asked following an unfortunate cancellation by Dr. Frank Reid.

Prophet Brian Carn and Dr. Jamal Bryant are the speakers who have so far delivered their messages to the huge turnout at the NLB Church.

“The services have exceeded our expectations. Our church holds 550 people comfortably and each night we have had to put out additional seats for people as well as ensure that our Children's church is functioning nightly to handle the number of children that would otherwise take up those seats,” commented Bishop John I. Cline.

He further said the community has responded positively and it can be seen that persons are enamoured with the word of God that is coming from the pulpit and are truly experiencing the power of the prophetic and the messages.

“People are being set free from old bondage as we see the faith of people rise as they are sowing into the future of their lives and as this year is declared the Year of the Harvest, we intend to reap the harvest of souls and more by the end of this year, Bishop Cline told Virgin Islands News Online.

Meanwhile, Bishop Bloomer will preach on Thursday October 10, at 7 P.M. and Friday October 11 at 7 P.M. as part of Power Plus and on Sunday October 13 at 10 A.M. during regular service at the New Life Baptist Church.

Midday services will continue as planned and all are invited to an all-praise and worship service on Friday at noon at the church.

About Bishop George Bloomer

Bishop Bloomer, a prolific speaker began ministering at the tender age of 17 in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York.He diligently served his pastor and church with the upkeep of the building, caring for the needs of the ministry, while simultaneously striving to stay focused on the mandate that the Lord had placed upon his life to preach the Word of God without compromise.

Through patience and the ability to hear the voice of God, the deliverance ministry known today as Bethel Family Worship Center-the church on Dowd Street, was birthed. Impacting his community of Durham, North Carolina and the United Stated as a whole, his powerful and anointed ministry continues to be used of God to set the captives free, set at liberty them that are bruised and shake principalities and powers, leading the lost the Christ.

He is author of a best-seller entitled Witchcraft in the Pews, which continues to destroy the yokes of bondage over the lives of many, the press release stated.

Other books he has written include When Loving You is Wrong, But I Want to be Right; Oppressionless; 101 Questions Women Ask About Relationships; The Witching Craft; Weapons for Warriors; This is War; and Crazy House Sane House, co-authored by wife, Jeannie Bloomer.

Finally, as founder of Blooming House Publishers, Bishop Bloomer has opened the door for new authors and ministers of the Gospel to spread the Word of God through their own written and oral works.

Power Plus is an annual event of the New Life Baptist Church and is open to all persons from different denominations and especially those desiring a relationship with Christ.
