At least one injured in 2-car collision at Hodges Creek

At least one person has been rushed to Peebles Hospital following a vehicular accident in the vicinity of Hodges Creek, Tortola this evening, August 10, 2013.

HODGES CREEK, Tortola, VI – At least one person has been rushed to Peebles Hospital following a vehicular accident in the vicinity of Hodges Creek, Tortola this evening, August 10, 2013.

According to information reaching Virgin Islands News Online, two cars collided shortly after 9 P.M. in the Hodges Creek area.

It was not clear to this news site at the time of posting what were the circumstances surrounding the accident that involved motor cars PV 16106 and PV 19605.

It has been confirmed, however, that at least one person was rushed to hospital with suspected serious injuries. Blood stains on the road were noticeable when Virgin Islands News Online arrived on the scene.

One of the cars, PV 19605, had already been towed away from the scene of the accident at the time of this news site’s arrival. The other car still on the scene suffered frontal damages.

A group of women was on the scene lamenting the tragedy. "Oh God we got to go to the hospital and see Oh God," one cried.

    It is a tragedy and your heart goes out to the victims, but that stretch(from the corner by Pussers to the area by the junk yard) is infamous for people speeding and not holding their side. It was bound to happen..

      Past Brandywine Bay you actually see them creeping up to overtake you on the Paraquita Bay stretch. They don't slow down till they reach past the junkyard and that is only because of the sewage in the road.

    The only way to stop car accidents is to ban cars. That's why the gov't banned bikes right? smh
