ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Over the past three months or so it seems like Glenn Callwood aka ‘Supa Cop’ has some help with his aggressive enforcement of traffic laws especially, in Road Town the capital city of the Virgin Islands.

Mr Callwood made a name for himself, not for grabbing a male private parts and losing his job over it, but for his aggressive enforcement of the traffic laws around Road Town and Tortola in general.

The police constable Mr Callwood returned to work on November 7, 2016, a story first and accurately broken by our newsroom.

Well, it appears that ‘Supa Cop’ has some help on the streets as about two female officers have now been aggressively enforcing the traffic laws. One is even on a police motor bike.

New lady supa cop?

The ladies, who sometimes move in groups of two or three, can be seen weekly, stopping motorists for not wearing seat belts, being on cellular phones while driving and even for having persons riding improperly in the back of pickups.

Well today April 28, 2017 at around 2:00 PM we did find a pack of female police and traffic officers stopping a motorist on the James Walter Francis Dual Carriageway, in Road Town, going east with two persons in the back of a pickup.

Our Team of Reporters was able to supply our newsroom with photos of the traffic stop.

Under current Virgin Islands Traffic Laws, persons can ride in the back of pickups only if they sit in the tub of the tray but not on the rim of the tray, which appears was the cause of the traffic cops' action/stop.

‘Supa Cop’ now has additional reinforcement, so motorists look out!

They need to start ticketing and towing away badly parked cars in Road Town. People just leave their cars in the middle of car parks, blocking in other cars. Tow them away and charge the owners a penalty - they will soon stop.

3 police in 1 area to issue 1 traffic ticket: i guess they only have 1 vechile: It might be better to have officers strategically postponed throughout the territory than having them patrolling in the same vehicle(I have "no-ting" against police -some of my best friends are police!!!!)

@wize-up. I already know you would have been the first to comment on this with your negative @$$$. How do u know is one traffic ticket they issuing. With the way some of you hooligans on the street behaves, they must be together. You are an ex-police JC but you are always so negative against the police, like you are so bitter. When you was working in RTPS and later WEPS, what were you doing, sure you were not often in strategic locations but what I know, you was driving around begging everybody you meet, do you remember that?

Sometimes you guys complain you don't see them, they out on the street enforcing the traffic laws, it's a fricking problem, what you all really want? Leave the darn police let they do their job.

@ outlaws: do you share your passion and anxiety with the leadership of the territory: my good friend, this platform on VINO is simply a forum whereby the people of this community can voice an opinion: mind you bust a vain in your head!!!( no need to get so worked up ole boy) by the way; can you shed some light as to why the fellow on VG was allowed to elude the police & what about an update on the unsolved crime in our country(you sound like you are the legal advisor or public relations for RVIPF)...remember calling people all manner names will not solving our social issues!!! Make sure you go rock city for the weekend; let off some of that pent up aggression: The people are simply blogging( I don't have anything to do that is why is blog: I can't speak for the other members of this territory)...keep the faith

Really sad that police enforcement is based on individual initiatives and efforts...all police officers should have one standard. Nevertheless, high appreciation for the ones doing their job!

Yes my sisters, do your thing. There is no respect for women in a male dominated work place. We as women can do the same jobs as any male. The men are angry because we don't have to depend on them for anything, gone are the Susie Homemaker days.

They need to a quaint themselves with the letter of the laws. Being aggressive is one thing. When the aggression is not in keeping with the laws. Its becomes unnecessary harassment...

I see where they're coming from, about riding in the back of a pick up truck. I agree that passengers riding in back of pickup should sit in the tub of the tray, instead of on the edge of truck. With today's more aggressive, faster and dangerously crowded roads, this can save lives.

Can arrangements be made to please place a few of them around the Scotia Bank location leading into the area of D Best Cup. Every day some of the mindless, inconsiderate drivers park on the sidewalk taking up half of the road creating a big problem when trying to get out of that area. They think for themselves only. You bring it to their attention and they look at you like who the heck you think you are to tell me where to park. Give them tickets every time they do it and it will soon stop. The BVI is rampant with people who don't care one bit about doing the right thing. I fear for our future.
