ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Commissioner of Police, David Morris, acting on information from an ongoing anti-corruption enquiry, sent a number of Police Officers on compulsory leave yesterday, Wednesday August 27th.

This action has been taken whilst a recommendation is sought from the Police Service Commission to His Excellency the Governor that the Officers concerned should be “interdicted” to allow the securing of evidence and interviewing of witnesses to prove or disprove the allegations.

The enquiry continues. In accordance with normal policy, the Officers sent on Leave will not be named whilst they are under investigation and no further comment will be made regarding the nature or scope of the investigation.
