Another win in the box for Smith Robin

CARROT BAY, Tortola, VI - With another fishing tournament win in the bag, Smith Robin remains the top fisherman in the Virgin Islands (VI).

At the conclusion of a fishing tournament hosted by the Carrot Bay Cultural Fiesta dubbed as the “Alfredo Delville Fisherman Tournament” yesterday August 9, 2012, Smith Robin came out victorious with 250lbs of fish.

He was awarded a cash prize and trophy during yesterday’s opening ceremony.

This is his sixth year of winning the Carrot Bay Fishing Tournament.

Mr. Robin who is a Dominican National, is accustomed to dominating the fishing tournaments in the VI, where he also received the winning prize for Fisherman’s Day on July 2, 2012, at Long Bay Beach, making it his 6th win in a row there as well.

Following on the heels of Mr. Robin in Carrot Bay’s Fishing Tournament, Kevin Smith came in second place with a submission of 105lbs of fish, receiving a prize for the biggest fish which was a 15lb snapper.

Perry Leonard placed third with 55lbs and Milton Farrington fourth with 51lbs.
