There were between 2 and 4 idiots racing up and down Waterfront Drive on their scooters. All the way up to the roundabout and back down to the Governor's house. They went back and forth at least 10 times in the time I was there, and you can see the burnt rubber on the roads all over the place. Same in East End - burnt rubber all over the place. When are the police actually going to start cracking down, or will the government have to make them illegal entirely?

I am all for running them down. Hopefully then I can stop worrying about one of those fools recklessly running down people and maybe I will finally get some sleep and peace and quiet in my neighbourhood from the constant revving up and racing of these bikes on the road. These BIKES NEED TO BE BANNED. THEY ARE TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL!

Hope the young man is ok . Even if these guys are a pest at times ,runnung them down is very wicked and criminal. The driver of the SUV is just as bad as the bike riders or worst. to me thats attempted murder.

I can clearly tell that you are one uneducated ass...how do you know that the suv purposely knocked him down..these jackasses on the road ride without care in and out of vehicles like they are stupid. The police need to stop them all together, because sooner or later we will have a scooter burying ground. And the parents needs they noses bitten off from these same young men that is a menace on the road all hours of the night. Parents take control of these sons if you want them stay alive.

The police seem clearly unwilling or unable to take this problem in hand. So how much longer before the House of Assembly just imposes a blanket ban on scooters? (PS. Great reporting job VINO.)
    • Sony (13/08/2012, 10:35) Like (0) Dislike (0) Reply
Banning the use of scooters is a matter the Minister can do, just like how he giving taxi drivers two sets of plates, just like how he letting people on work permits renew their driver licence with expired work permit. It don't have to go to the house of assembly
