ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Our roving camera noticed a red KIA with rental plate RT 4035 this morning Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the James Walter Francis Drive Dual Carriageway that seem to have been the victim of an accident.

The circumstances of what happened are sketchy, as police did not immediately respond to queries. However, a utility pole was also down next to the rental car and it appeared that a back wheel was missing from the vehicle.

The incident happened close to the junction to turn left to go in the direction of the Tortola Sports Club. Other details on driver, passenger, rental owner or cause are unknown at this time.

The car was removed a few hours later by wrecker service following, a minor slow down of traffic flow.

This is the second accident in a few days on the James Walter Frances Drive. On Saturday, May 12, 2018, there was a 4 car smash-up close to the same area where about two persons were injured and had to be taken to the hospital.
