ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Long Look resident, Kevin Sprauve, is likely to have his matter heard in the next assizes before the High Court after his matter was set for paper committal at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, March 12, 2014.

Sprauve, who remains incarcerated after being refused bail, was charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and aggravated burglary for incidents which allegedly occurred on December 4, 2013.

The defendant is now being represented by attorney at law Jennifer Jarvis.

According to the allegations, the VC was asleep at her home in Sea Cows Bay on December 4, 2013 when Sprauve allegedly entered, placed an object at her throat and demanded money.

The defendant allegedly tied her hands and covered her face with a piece of cloth before removing her from the home in her vehicle.

While being transported, she reportedly managed to free herself and escaped from the moving vehicle. The defendant then allegedly tried to run over her, injuring her legs in the process.

A motorist who was passing at the time of the incident tried to render assistance, but he was allegedly threatened by the defendant.

The victim was reportedly found on the side of the road in Cox Heath, Sea Cows Bay at approximately 2 a.m. on the day of the incident.

Sprauve was later arrested and charged for the offence.
