All to play for in Eastern Division of Hon Julian Fraser STS League

Splash Brothers (blue tops) have already confirmed top spot in the East and the Knights will finish second, barring defeat in the final game on Sunday. Photo: VINO
Theoretically, both New Heights and Z6ne 6 Ballers (Orange tops) could reach the top four in the Eastern Division, at the expense of the Spartans, as each would have identical records and then it would be determined by whatever rules are in place to determine such matters. Photo: VINO

A loss by the Knights to Young Starz on Sunday would make the final standings even more interesting as three teams would then need to have their placements decided by the determining rules. Photo: VINO

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – This weekend will see final regular season action in the Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed National Basketball League at the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom.

The only real excitement factor will be in the games on Saturday night, October 17, 2015, when the Avengers will look to end a disappointing season by stopping New Heights from reaching the play offs and Talk Done on Sunday will attempt to silence Z6ne 6 Ballers and deny them reaching the post season.

Theoretically, both New Heights and Z6ne 6 Ballers could reach the top four in the Eastern Division, at the expense of the Spartans, as each would have identical records and then it would be determined by whatever rules are in place to determine such matters. A loss by the Knights to Young Starz on Sunday would make the final standings even more interesting as three teams would then need to have their placements decided by the determining rules.

The Western Division is a much more cut and dried affair with West Gunners confirming top spot with last Saturday’s thrashing of Bayside Blazers. The Blazers finish second, the Warriors third and the Starz fourth.

Splash Brothers have already confirmed top spot in the East and the Knights will finish second, barring defeat in the final game on Sunday.
